Well I screwed up my hood, fender and small piece over the fender and behind the hood. Anyone know of a source or a good scrap yard that I might find black JK fenders? I'm pretty well f#cked on the hood since its a 10A, but I'm trying to save on the other items.
Also pulled my rear shock shaft out of the housing and blew the other rear shock going up Playground. I need to set the bumps better and put on some limiting straps. FML

Oh yeah, don't post something about this on FB. My wife hasn't seen it yet and I'd like to keep my wedding tackle attached to my body.

PICTURES! or else I hit facebook :)
Damn, I love that hood...I didn't know that is what came with the 10A...nicely done by Jeep.
Good luck on your search for the parts.

Try daviesjeeps.com. Sounds like you are having a lot of fun. Cheers.

Pics and vids to be posted tomorrow. I should have on Jeep and spectator videos of the climb up Playground.
-
Well that sucks. Playground is fun though. Not sure if it's THAT fun.

The body damage happened at the bottom of Boat Ramp.
-
Go to a fiberglass hood with the fenders built in? Lighten the front end a little.
-
So you got into the tree at the bottom of the boat ramp. That is usually a tricky spot. Good luck on the search for parts. I will keep my eye open for you.

No I got the damage at the bottom when I was parking to get into the buggy to go up boat ramp. It actually pissed me off of how stupid it happened. At least if I got it trying boat ramp I would have a cool story. Ill just stick to the story "It happened at Boat Ramp". //;D//
Here is a vid of me going up playground. Kinda long, I kept trying to go up the center, but with the inebriated spotter I had (just met him)I didn't feel comfortable clanking the bottom of the Jeep off the rocks any more. I bailed out and went right instead. You guys will be able to see why I need some limiting straps at the end.

Which shock did you blow?

Both rears. You can hear them go at the end of the video.

Did they come down too hard?
or
Did they overextend?

By the looks of the video they definitely over extended.. And then came down hard :)

Shocks are too long if they over extended. The coil will also unseat as a result.
