Title: Helen GA trailing :)
Post by: tiffanygurnee on June 03, 2014, 08:35:04 AM: Hi y'all planning on being on vacation and wheeling in Helen, GA June 20-22. If anyone wants to meet up and make a ride out of it that'd be great. I only know the Tray Mountain trail so any others I do like Bell Mountain I'll be doing off a map. Hope to see y'all there :)

We did Trey Mountain, then drove up to 163 ( on the way to Charlie's creek). 163 is a forest road with a bunch of mud puddles, it comes out on Persimon, which is on the way to Charlie's creek. We we out for about 6 hours.
I haven't been to bell mountain yet. My son is 13.

We have rode tray mt a lot, but I wouldn’t mind running it again then hitting something with some nice creek crossings.
Any suggestions?

Anyone know of a good trout spot around that area?

8426 main street is correct.
We’ll meet there at 9:00 and head out shortly after (10 min or so)
I have never been to Charlie’s creek or Bell mt so I will get the maps out tonight or tomorrow and make up a good route.

Post by: Cannonballkev on June 19, 2014, 01:17:30 PM: Won't be able to make this trip. I gave Tiffinay directions to bell mountain and another trail on the way to Charlie's creek, 163 ( forest road)off of 76, before you get to Persimon which takes you to Charlie's creek.)

I went to bell mountain for the first time last week. Awesome!

People BASE jump off of the backside of bell mountain. Yeah, I'll just drive down!
