Title: Trailer Storage - Cumming?
Post by: Michigunman on June 14, 2014, 11:40:44 AM
Starting to shop around for a tow rig and trailer for the Jeep.  Problem is my driveway is at a fairly steep angle from the road.  My street goes down hill and my driveway takes off uphill perpendicular from the road.  Coming from the down hill side up into the driveway might work but I really doubt it.

So anyone know of reasonably priced space in the Cumming area?  What does everyone else do, are you able to store at your home?

I store at home.   I do not live in a home owners association neighborhood.  I do worry about theft.

I have a friend with a large back wooded yard and we bartered a trade...storage places want a premium.

I store my trailer at Weaver in Cumming.  All paved, covered, there is power, etc.

A lot of self storage building places will allow you to store your trailer there for a small fee. There all usually gated and you could lock it when you leave it.

The "small fee" over by my house was 60$ + a month.  Crazy talk!

There is a lot of outdoor storage around here. $40-$50 a month which is about double what I'm hoping to pay. Thanks to another member I might have a line on a farm not far from the house.

Keep in mind risk of theft and/or consider special insurance.  Good luck!   What is the tow vehicle?

The tow vehicle will be dedicated to that and occasionally transporting the dogs so nothing fancy.  Looking for a mid 2000's Tahoe or something similar.  I'm not in any rush as parking is a little tight right now with 5 vehicles until one daughter moves out in August.
