Title: Off Road Specialists in North Atlanta?
Post by: Edward_E on July 21, 2014, 03:50:33 PM
Forgive me if this has been discussed before however here goes...  //:hlp//

I live in the North Atlanta area and I am looking for a shop that can treat my baby right. Want to put a lift on her but as all you Jeepers know, I don't want to trust just any ole shop.

Heard Fortech was good but has anyone dealt with Southern Off Road Specialists?

Allsouth Autosports is the trusted shop around here. Most anyone here that has been around for awhile has used them for something. They treat us right.  //cheers2//

2nd AllSouth, have not found anyone that treats my Jeep like their own!  Quality work, great price, and they back their work!

And as far as your question - Yes, once when I first moved to Georgia.  Not since or EVER again.  I think both of these shops are "bolt on" and don't know what to do when something doesn't go right.   Additionally SOS being very overpriced, in my opinion.

Agree. I have had dealings w Southern off Mansell road. Over priced and less weak advice.

Anyone ever used Allsouth?

They get my vote as well. They hooked me up on my Corbeau's and tires, wish I was closer.

I got my hi-jack lift there and it was like 5 dollars more than anywhere else. I asked if they could ship me in a mount for my hood and they ran me a crazy price for the KC mount. They wanted me to pay $275 and I got the mount on amazon for like $125.

Also, they are vegetables when it comes to knowledge. I asked them about what fuse to cut for my lights to stay off when my doors are off and all the guy did was pass the question to another guy who's answer was "I have no idea".

Bottom line is, save your money and time and go to a store where they know what they're doing. Or even better, amazon and quadratic are my best friends.

Imsure you've realized what were sayin here.  Just my two cents,  I trusted them enugh to swap parts on two jeeps.  Wouldnt go anywhere else but my  own garage and I just don't have the time for that.

All South is THE BEST. PERIOD. Not only does All South have a low price guarantee but the knowledge, experience, skill, and ability to not only complete the job but to do it right the first time, and they come wheeling with us to boot. They also have a lifetime warranty. They have gone out of their way to take care of me and everyone that I know of especially in this club. You will NOT find a better shop or group of people to work with and to do work on your jeep. When I had my jeep worked on, I met James the guy who did the welding. First thing he said to me was "I dare you to try and break my welds." I don't know about you but someone who has that kind of confidence in their work gives me a peace of mind unlike any other. I'd bet 6 months of pay you will not find a better shop. I'm in Columbus approximately 2.25 hours south of All South. There's probably 50 off road shops between here and All South. I'll go to All South every time.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet, but Allsouth is the best place around IMHO.  //;D// I've used Fortec once, they were alright but pricey. My only experience with SSORS was a few years ago when I first got my Jeep, their prices were high and their advice was lack-luster. Allsouth has the best prices and does the best work by far. Plus, if you ever have a problem, they often wheel with us, so you can yell at Danny, etc.  //LMAO//

Allsouth has worked on 3 Jeeps for me, 2 Duramaxes, an Excursion, van, Tahoe, and Suburban.  They do all of my maintenance, tires, repairs, etc.  I send folks there from my office too.

Allsouth Autosports is much more than an Offroad Specialist, and unique in that they:

- Have access to every major manufacturer
- Gear set up specialists on staff and back up (What's that guys name?  //LMAO//  )
- Have a full size lazer alignment rack
- Have a paint and body man
- Have a paint booth for powder coat quality no other shop can do
- Tube bender and expert welders for custom work
- A few electronics/stereo/light specialists
- Space to store your rig inside even where there are 20 rigs in the shop
- The ABILITY to do it right.

Nobody is perfect, but its the way they follow-up an error that makes the difference.

And just to make another point clear, they wheel with the group, and plenty of us wheel with family and kids along.  That is standing behind your work.

Wow!
We read this earlier at the shop and it really made our day! As most of you know, our shop is off the beaten path so word of mouth is very important to us. We find that honesty and fair prices will generally get you good feedback in this business.

Thanks again for the nice words! Our guys really appreciate it //cheers2//
