Getting ready to buy new tires for my truck. To many frickin choices!
I'm liking the Mickey Thompson Baja Claw. I have 285/75/16 (33's) AT on now. I think I'll go with 305/70/16, same height, 1 inch wider @12" wide.
I drive on pavement maybe 100 miles a month, if that.
Radial
Bias ply
10 ply
8 ply
4 ply
I'm so confused!

I know where you can get some 35x12.5 r17 wrangler mtr kevlars. :) @cru9
-
I have 16" rims
-
OP, when you say "truck", what vehicle exactly?
-
I saw that, nothing a new set of wheels can't fix.
-
I think it's a 1500 chevy. You might be able to stumble upon some 17" wheels in a 6on 5.5 pattern out there ( should be what he has I think)
-
Yes, Chevy 1500
-
Benefits of 17's over 16's? Just so I may get a good deal on 17" tires? Damn, more choices! Ha ha!
Headed up bell mountain before it rains again.
Makes it nice when you live 5 minutes away
-
Bell had a rolled F-150 blocking it last I heard.
Here are some cheap tires.

F150 was still there, but moved out if the way into the trees..
Headed to the lake to do some boating now!
-
I'm jealous.

Any pics of the rolled Ford?
I'm curious to see what happened.
Was it at the last big rock?
-
My guess is that since the people were from Florida, they were not use to hills. LOL.
-
I didn't know about the roll over before we went.
On the way up. First, at the very bottom, we saw a BMW sedan, then a little further up, we saw a mid size pick up.
Then after the huge ruts, but before the big tree root on the left, was the f150. When we got to the top there six or eight people, I just assumed they belonged to the vehicles below. On the way back down, I looked at the truck closer, trying to figure out how it got where it was, noticed a dent in the hood. Truck looked pretty stock, tires were full of mud.
We guessed they went up when it was still pretty wet and got stuck then.
I wish I would have taken pics. I may take a trip back up there tomorrow.
Hmmm , I could go up and watch the sunset tonight! Damn, just started the grill, that will have to wait.
Anybody ever done a sunset or nite ride up there?
That would be awesome!
-
Yeah, we have done a ride that ended there during sunset. Some stayed and grilled out
