It does look cool.  Not sure what apps it will have but I haven't worn a watch in years so I don't see myself getting one.  I do like the activity monitor piece but you can get a Fitbit for cheaper.

I bought an expensive Swiss watch in Europe about 30 years ago and wore it everyday for those 30 years until the metal band broke.  Since the watch is no longer being made, a replacement band was quoted to me for $400.  My $20 Timex has filled in well for the past year.  And I see no need to replace it with one from Apple.

I really think this Apple Watch is going to be a pretty big "miss" for Apple. I use Apple products, but carry an Android phone. There are both good and bad things about Apple, and I am neither rooting for them to necessarily succeed or fail, but I can't imagine a scenario where this thing is a huge seller. But since I said it, I am sure to be proven wrong...

Android phone user for work, I like Ipads better than Android tablets, but that watch is a big "nope" for me.

It's funny how something get huge and others don't.  There were plenty of naysayers for the Internet, text messaging, etc. I agree, don't see this getting big.

This has been Apple's thing since the iPod.  They come out with stuff that nobody thinks they need.  And next thing you know, they're nearly a TRILLION dollar company.  I don't think I need or want this watch, but I'm not going to dismiss it at all...

I doubt that Apple watch will hold up well when my left hand is holdin a nail and my right is swingin' a big f*in' hammer, or doin yard work or paddlin the 'hooch, my G-Shock does what timex's used to do. Take a lickin' an keep on tickin'!!!

then again i am not sure that watch is being marketed to people like me.

Love my iphone and my macbook...but I'm not an earlier adopter of tech.  My iphone is 2 years old, my macbook is 9 years old(yes, that is correct, 9 years old).

I don't wear a watch and this apple watch doesn't seem to entice me to do so.

I won't get one, but hopefully it does great. I have some of my retirement based on apple's success
