Title: BIG THANKS TO ALLSOUTH AUTOSPORTS
Post by: cru9 on April 02, 2015, 07:33:32 PM
Just wanted to say Thanks to Allsouth Autosports. They ordered me a new winch and had awesome turn around time on getting it. Thanks and great customer service.

How difficult is it to install one of these?
4 bolts 2 wires and spool the rope on. And 2 bolts for the fairlead. Very simple.

Sweet.  I think I can handle that...Where do you get the power from?  Hook it directly to the battery?

That's a beauty.   Should be the last winch you ever need to buy.   Congrats!

That's a fact. One and done right there. Super nice.
Mis that rope red or black?

Looks like first wrap is red and a different style rope weave. Then the rope turns to black

The red is a heat shield for the first wrap on the drum.  It also serves as a warning to when you are at the point where you shouldn't pull any more rope.

It's very nice that the heat shield was already on the rope. I added one to mine and it was a PITA to put on.  Barely fit
