All i have to say is my jeep drives so much better with an open diff.  No more grinding when shifting.

well i am dropping the jeep off tomorrow in Athens and getting the truck to get the 44 to the shipper and get the 8.8 hopefully.  I also will be dropping the 8.8 off to get the 4.88's installed sometime next week.  I have Three exams to get though next week so i have to put this on the back burner until after then. I think i am going to try a $20 mini spool this time around.  If i cant stand it i will do something else.  I just really didn't like the lock right in the rear.  It was very unpredictable on the road.

If you didn't like the locker, you are going to hate the spool. If you want something more predictable, check out a limited slip like a TrueTrac or Auburn Gear. Or, look into the Auburn ECTED. Not a true locker, but it is a limited slip but with a flip of a switch, it becomes a very heavily biased limited slip close to a locker. Or just spring for a selectable locker.

I dont want i LSD as i want a locker.  The reason i didn't like the lockright is  because it was unpredictable.  A spool is very predictable as it is locked all the time.  With a stick the lock right would get confused in corners and lock and unlock many times.  You eather had to push in the clutch or keep on the gas.

I like my full detroit in the rear. It drives nice and is fine on the street.

I completly agree with you there. You know what the spools going to do, so it looks like you are gonna be on the clutch all the time... ;D

Gotcha. Forget you had a stick.
