Riding lawnmower flipped over on top of me , breaking my right arm and burning my left tricep. Surgery on Thursday.
This was a new (used) mower and someone has bypassed the seat safety switch. I knew this so when the mower started to flip, I laughed off of it toget away from the blades, hit the ground and started rolling, blades missed me but exhaust got me.
I learned my lesson ,I'll be fixing that switch as soon as I'm able. I got lucky!

Not fun. My dad told me wisdom comes from experience, most of it bad. Hang in there and good luck with the surgery. Give us an update when ya can after wards.

Been a month, arm is at about 50%, getting better everyday. I am tired of being left handed though. No rehab yet, DR. Said wait. I can almost lift it above my head. Pretty painful the fist couple of weeks, and sleeping on your back sucks!
Metal plate and screws. I'm almost the man of steel!0

Pretty invasive surgery

Been there, done that. Titanium plate with 9 screws. Suck it up buttercup. LOL Scars are cool!

Damn...this thread sucks! Good luck with the healing...but I thought I saw that you are going wheeling this weekend, so it must be going swell.

Yes, it is healing well, just sore, not painful like before. Not much strength in it yet, but getting better everyday. Sleeping is the hardest part because it stiffens up at night, but that's getting better also.

That's great...and good luck wheeling.
Mine usually stiffens up in the morning.
