Title: North Georgia F.S. Rides
Post by: bear991 on August 25, 2016, 09:29:09 PM
I'm going to put this out there, if at any time anyone in the club wants to come up to Clayton or surrounding areas and ride some of the local F.S. roads and wants someone to ride with or just information Hit me up. I ride these roads all the time and know most of them pretty well. Just offering to those who may not know about this little slice of heaven

We have a house on Burton, so up here all the time. Wouldn't mind doing some exploring.

Isn't there some good spots near Warwoman/ Hale Ridge?

Blue J yes there is. Most all F.S. roads off of the Warwoman road connect to Hale Ridge. Hale Ridge runs along the spine of some pretty Mtns and ends on the Highlands rd. in N.C.
If you turn onto Finney Creek rd ( Which is off of Warwoman) it takes you through The Warman Wildlife mangement area. I've seen bears with cubs, deer,  lots of turkey ( Where you'll find me during turkey season) and coyote. The management area has one or two somewhat challenging creek crossings and hill climbs and connects to Sarah's creek camping area.
