I really like it. But everyone is different. We unknowingly bought some knockoffs at a rv show last spring for $10 more than the real ones were. But it was like sleeping on a rock.
I had ordered a set off the web. They were $29 BYGO free plus $10 shipping each. There was a $10 upcharge each for king size. $70 total
You don't see final amount until AFTER you pay. They tried to charge me $120 for 2 king size pillows. $40 of it was "boxing & handling charges". Not sure what the rest was for. Luckily, my card denied the charge.
The lesson I learned was don't pay if they can't show you a final price first.

I scored a pelican 1620 case,a pair of crawl tunes,a Axel off road helmet, and the ps cage that was installed a few weeks ago!!!

The big ticket item was JKS Quicker Disconnects and almost all of the required tools (tap set, grease for grease gun, etc.). Now I need to go buy jack stands to put them on. Not that I mind. //letseat//

Go 12 ton jacks.

Got the ARB compressor and installed it with my dad a couple days ago. A vintage micrometer from the 40's, set of magical wire strippers
https://www.kleintools.com/catalog/adjustable-wire-stripperscutters/katapult-wire-strippercutter. (https://www.kleintools.com/catalog/adjustable-wire-stripperscutters/katapult-wire-strippercutter.)
adjustable wrenches and 100$ gift card to 4WP.

May be needed for the big crawler hauler!

I got that tip from reading 1/2 of your build thread. My 6 tons are almost too short for the XJ.

He he...that's funny. It's also good for catching people peeing in front of your jeep while parked to watch someone else do something crazy

I'll add that they are the type of company I love doing business with. Supported CFR, support military, police, firemen. They are very responsive too.

Which one is it? How's it look on the wall??
She got me the full barrel. It's not up yet because I'm trying to figure out an idea that I have to see if it will work, but it's going to be tough.
I want it to hide a tv that is currently mounted over an outdoor stone fireplace. (Covered). My initial thoughts were a swing system, wires and pulley, or a lift (like the back of an SUV)

Should be able to knock that project out without jack stands.
That flag is freaking awesome @Raisinhead !!

Speakers for the jeep, rtic soft 20, exhaust wrap, 700ft of different colored wiring for misc automotive projects, fuse block, fuses, Poly Performance gift card (for either cutting brakes or double-ended hydro cylinder to replace the single and tierod I currently run, can't decide...), corbeau shoulder pads

No Jeep stuff for me either... that seems to happen all year long... a couple of really cool things I got is an Amazon Tap which I really like. The other I have not yet used is for my Kamado Joe, I got a Pitmaster IQ. I can't wait to try that out. Another really neat thing is a coffee mug that is black until you put hot coffee in it then it turns white with the Masonic logo in black, really neat.

Change the internal MIM parts in them and you'll have some nice 1911's. :)

You can? It comes apart like a normal gun. There is no bushing that comes out and so on.

I think the quality of the Metal Injection Molded parts that gun manufacturers use have gotten better but Kimber had an issues with some of them years back. Springfield uses MIM parts as well (my favorite) but I had John Harrison in Kennesaw so some work on mine years ago. He replaced the crucial parts like the Firing Pin Stop, Slide Stop, Extractor. Can't remember what else. He also cleaned up the ramp and did a basic tune up on it. Cost was about $180. He is one of the best 1911 smiths in the country. Back then, he wouldn't do work on Kimbers though.
It's cheap to replace those parts with machined parts and easy/fun to do. I'm not sure it's a big worry unless you're putting 5000 rounds a month through it.
MIM parts on most 1911's unless you buy an Ed Brown, Wilson Combat, Caspian, Dan Wesson, Les Baer, etc. I would think that the guns coming out of Kimber's Custom shop have mainly machined parts.
Hammer, sear, extractor, firing pin stop, grip safety, thumb saftey, slide stop, plunger tube, mag release, ejector.
-
Plus a bunch on John Harrison. He worked my Colt almost 20 years ago and it still runs like a top.
Congrats on the Kimber. Any 1911 is a nice gun to get.

I have heard of that guy. I want my next to be a Wilson or nighthawk. I have a kimber custom II. Kimber "custom shop" isn't really custom. You can send a pistol to them for work.
That one pictured is a micro 9.
Below is the micro 9 and 1911 stripped.

@URBAN ASSAULT where'd you buy the DOM?
Metal Supermarket. https://www.metalsupermarkets.com/atlanta/ (https://www.metalsupermarkets.com/atlanta/)
They are not always the cheapest, but they sure are easy. They had 2 sticks in stock and had the rest within a week. Ended up around $4 and change per foot.
I preferred IMS steel back when we had the @Jimbo hookup. Though, he no longer works there.
I've used Metal supermarket for lots of stuff over the years. Usually, I can find most everything I need in their drop pile, which is much cheaper.
Depending on how much you need, I'll likely have a good bit left over, and will be happy to pass it on.

I'm going to buy hitch cargo rack to put it on behind the Jeep.
My wife got the kit from BMIKarts.com. It's made by AZUSA. It's a standard size mini bike which means it's small but it will haul my big ass.
