I wasn't sure where to post this question. My buddy has got a soft top on his third and was wondering if there is a lubricant for the rippers. His wife drives it a lot and can't get the rippers to start. He said once they start goin it's not as bad but jus the first few inches are to hard for her.

I use McLube Sailkote, its a dry lubricant. There is also a bicycle chain dry lubricant that works well for zippers. I think its made by Finish Line. They are both teflon based.
