What is the best alternative to Photobucket.
I have three different Photobucket accounts all are almost full...so this totally sucks as I will have to download and then upload to another site. Plus, all the threads where the photo I may have linked is from Photobucket will no longer work. Really crappy.
Flickr ?
Imgur?
I don't want to pay. Saving for an LJ.....

Not sure if it's the same kind of thing, but I use google photos to keep all of my photos backed up. Works with my email log in and my google drive.

Flikr hands down! Gives you a terabyte for free. Nobody can touch that! Way easier than PB as well.
-
I started using flickr. Seems good, but haven't used a ton

flickr....seems to work pretty good
if you download the app you can select so
every picture automatically down loads...

EDITED: I saw some post/article about a plug-in for Chrome that makes PB transfers much easier. fixes broken links magically, somehow. I have not used it. Google may be your friend.

Good luck downloading your albums. It's been broken for a month now. It errors out every time. I've tried PC, Mac, IE, Chrome, Safari, Firefox. I read online where a lot of people are getting the same errors. I tried to FTP to the site but it won't allow me to connect.

Good info, thanks.
I have a Flickr account so I will start to use that.
Strange though. I just went out to all my CFR 2018 forum threads and posted an update. The first post in all those threads has a Photobucket linked picture and I was able to see it...it was not blocked. Really weird.

There has been a massive backlash from the user community. They basically ruined thousands of forums and blogs.

Took weeks to get images off. But I did this like 2 years ago. I could see the writing on the wall way back when.

Hopefully the next place you go doesn't do the same thing.

I would say 90% of the photo's I have on photosuckit are also on a portable hard drive so it's not like they "have" my pictures...but I will be moving to Flickr I think.

Yeah, I made the mistake of uploading images without backups. Years ago before I knew better.

I use a paid site, pbase.com. No ads, no hassle

Seems like the only way to ensure you aren't mad the next time this crap happens.

Think yours would still end up upside down?

I haven't used it yet, but if you are an Amazon Prime member you get unlimited photo storage.

Nice too no.

I've gone to huge hardrives, huge external drives with auto back up, and everything is backed up off site on carbonite.
What is the I.T. pro's opinion on carbonite?

Carbonite is what I use here. I have 14 years of files for vector art projects, full car startups and everything under the sun on it. I learned my lesson when my computer dumped out a few years back and I thought I had lost it all. I had a backup harddrive but forgot to back it up on a regular basis. Carbonite backs up how you want it. Constantly or once a day. Love carbonite.

I have a buddy who does IT work for SMBs. They use Carbonite for their clients.

FWIW I use smugmug and have for about 5 years. It's a pay site but like stated before, no ads and no hassle. Easy links for forum/BBC code ect.
