I have been working on my 4 link for 2 days now and Mollys father pulled out an air chisel. My ears have been ringing since last night. It has never lasted this long before. It usually goes away the next morning. Should i go to the doc or should i give it a few more days.

I say if after tonight it is still there then go.

Sorry sonny, what was that??? ??? I couldn't hear you! There will be lots of old deaf farts 40 years after the thumper car craze.

Don't bother unless you have pain. I work in a steel mill. Ear damage is permanent and irreversable (short of cochlear implant type stuff). It should subside in a few days.

Yeah, not much you can do about ringing AFAIK. Get a set of ear muffs or ear plugs and wear them often.

Ringing ears (tinnitus) is not repairable. I have had it since 1985 when my brother in law and I went target shooting with a .380 and a .45. Definitely learned (the hard way) a lesson about hearing protection.
Unless you have pain or are bleeding my bet is your doctor wil have no suggestions for help with the noise. After a while, you don't really notice it much during the day, but at night it can drive you crazy. I have to sleep with a fan or a "white noise" machine or take Benadryl.....6 or 7 beers also helps.
Wish I had better news for you....maybe your damage wasn't as severe and it will clear up on its own.

So, how are the ears Alex? Did the ringing go away yet?
