A 15"x8" or 15"x10" with 4" or 3.75" of back spacing. I'd go with a 15"x8" with either back spacing.

15X8 is what I use and I like the extra bulge to help keep the rocks off the rim. Bead bustin I want no part of.

so long as that 33x12.5 tire has a 15 inch rim diameter...  :)

It should read 33x12.5 r15  {toast}

You're diving into all this a little too soon it seems.  ;) Do a lot of research before you start spending money. But the tire place is retarded. The most common rim size for a 33x12.50 tire (in the offroad world) is a 15x8. You want "buldge" as you mentioned, when off roading. When you air down your tires for more traction, the sidewall of the tire will be "pinched" on the rim and help to keep it from losing its "bead" or seat on the rim.

the tire place is going on the recommended size rim for that tire size.  going with the recommended size rim you will be able to run the recommended tire pressure for your vehicle for normal wear and tear.  now a narror rim and a wide tire is going to buldge more so your going to have to run a lower pressure on the street in order to get a good contact with the road which will lead to a little more slop in the handeling (probley not enough to notice on a DD with the tire size in question).  off road as said above it should help keep the tire seated a little better at lower pressures.  if it was me i would go with the 8" rims, in fact that is what i'm running currently running with 36" IROKs (sort of), when i bought them they were 15x8 then i added DIY Bead locks which makes them closer to a 9" rim now.

You never told us what rim you have. (At least not in this thread as far as I can see.) Most of us would run a 15x8 given the situation you have, but I've you've already purchased 15x10s, don't worry about it.

If your rims have the correct back spacing get 15x8.  Dont get 15x10 rims.  It is to wide for that size tire.  DOnt listen to the tire places they don't have a clue what they are talking about.

15X8 33X12.50, This is what you should have for rock krawling. Bead is safe because of the extra bulge. If it is flush then you would be scrapping and rock rashing all day. 32# of air, 100% tread touching ground.

Get a 15"x8" and if the tire place won't mount the tire for you, go somewhere else.
