NICE. I've got some overheating issues to straighten out...probably cause of the winch in the way...only overheats at highway speed...got to put on the transmission cooler too...and tighten all my track bar mount bolts
-
That sure would make it easy to pressure wash the underbelly to get any mud off of it. Don't want any rust!
-
I've got to put a winch plate on, check all suspension bolts, install fire extinguisher and pack all my goodies.
-
I'm in Dallas, and can't wait to get home and get packing!!
-
Dang son! Thats flex.
-
Got some? ;) Yeah, I am in need of some limiting straps. Shocks are keeping the bottom from falling out. ;D
-
well i'm gonna end up having to fab up a fairlead mount just incase I need the cable at Tellico since I couldn't pick up a winch plate. I called LineX in Dalton....$367.?? I asked if they were serious and they said yeah that's just the winch plate. Don't see that happening ever. :o

Found a small problem. On my passenger side quick disconnect, the lynch pin somehow got bent so I now can't get it out. I'm pretty sure I could just cut it out and I have an extra pin but of course I don't have any cutting tools with me.
But I can still disconnect one side at least.

Will is bringing me a TJ bolt on plate to Tellico that is $70. I have a generic winch plate at home you can have, but its not a bolt on.
-
I am bringing 2 TJ winch plates to Tellico, well 1 TJ- $70. The other is free but will is not a bolt on.
-
I probably have a new bolt on generic winch plate at the shop...and tools
-
Ben, I am sure we can work on it when you get there. One of us should have the right tool for the job! I JUST came in from again workin on the Jeep. Finally got the 2 track bar bolts cut back. Found that the driver side bolt was actually cutting into the gas tank at full compression, and the other was scraping the rear spring on the pass side! Also had to cut more off the exhaust and head over to advance for a 90 elbow and clamp it on. Tommorrow need to go to the fab shop and have a hangar put on. Also BY CHANCE was in the yard flexing after the bolt cutting and the 4wd would not stay in 4 lo! MAN! So I had to cut about 1/2" out of the shifter bracket so that the lever would stay back. I adjusted the trunion nut on the new skyjacker trans plate but it was not enough. It has been a ROUGH week working on this Jeep getting ready for this trip! Atleast the gas leak has seem to be fixed! ;D

Ummmm.. sooo.. I gotta get my driveshaft shortened tomorrow... point me to the shop that does good work the fastest :P
Wasn't anticipating this. Sucks. Just been trying to cram all this stuff in a couple of weeks. I'll be there sometime this weekend. Hopefully Friday after lunch. ;)

Will it not fit at all with the new flange?
-
cool doug I guess hold off on the doors and bring the plate for $70. I've got to fix a rear swaybar link when I leave work
-
Just leave it disconnected, more flex. :D Will, not sure about your situation. Better start hittin the yellow pages and google! That really sucks!!! :-[
-
I've heard it's worse to disconnect the rear when the front is diconnected
-
Will it not fit at all with the new flange?
Nope, it's a half inch too long at full compression and if I cut that off the end of the splines I won't have any compression when it's under the Jeep. I've leaving for Forest Park in a few minutes. :P Sucks big ones, but I'm getting it done.
