Title: New toy road trip.... Not a buggy. lol
Post by: ranier1315 on September 18, 2019, 09:00:29 AM
Anyone down for a road trip to Savannah Friday? I bought a boat and the jeep should tow it fine for relatively short distances but I don't want to buy a new transmission trying to bring the boat home from Savannah. Payment will include but not limited to 1: a guided striped bass fishing trip on Lanier 2: all expenses for the trip paid and 3: a Steak dinner @ your restaurant of choice.

Let me know if anyone is interested. If not does anyone have a line on a rental that will allow me to tow?

How many strippers do you plan on having and will there be a stripper pole?

Your first problem is "I bought a boat".

Not my first rodeo sir! If everything works out I won't have this boat for too long and I'll turn around and sell it for a profit. Time will tell

Rent a suburban from HERTZ.  All have receivers.  i went to WI in one to get our current Air Nautique. 24 hour rental LOL

You'll need your own receiver hitch and do not mention that you are towing.

Or follow Doug's lead and buy a truck and use it to tow and then sell it when done.  ;-)

The two happiest days of a boat owners life:
1-The day he buys it
2- the day he sells it

funny how  "boat" &  "JKU" can be interchangeable in the above comment...

I agree.

What people fail to realize is that "seat time" is So much more important, than the rig.

This should be your first sticker on the boat.

I'm sure Marc's wife will love seeing "Pole Dancer" sitting in the driveway every day.

The boat is a Sea Fox 200XP pro. I'm thinking of names so I'm sure "pole" and "Fox" will come in to play somehow.  [slammin] [spectator2]

Well some may know but the Sea Fox fell through thanks to my bank and a less than honest seller. (probably for the best. Everything happens for a reason.) The search continued for a week or two and I found a sweet ride.
2007 Nautic Star 1910cc. I was concerned weather the jeep would pull her but so far it's not been a problem at all. I'm not going to tow to the beach house with it but for around here it should do just fine. I present to you, Georgia Girl III

Haha, I wish it were mine. It's a family place. The Aunt bought a water front bungalow in Santa Rosa. 5 beds and 4 baths. It's good to have family with money....

Nice boat. Make sure you have a safe place to lock it up. Outboards attract meth heads and crack heads. I had an outboard stolen off a boat at Aqualand Marina.
