Post by: Bjk77 on November 14, 2019, 04:58:53 PM
For you guys that have tj’s. My buddy has got a 2000 model TJ   that he says is melting the plugins on the back of his ac controls. It’s a 4 cylinder if that makes any difference.   Any one have any ideas..

I remember that is a common issue. BUTTTTTT I can’t recall the solution as it was only on certain year models.

Sounds like a short or a loose connection.  I have never had this issue with my HVAC.  I have a 98 th 6cyl

I’ll shoot the link to him. I think he’s on his second plug melting. Not the same one either. He found one when something quiet working. And he said he smelled the other go bad last nite. Sounds like something goin to ground but on two different plugs I don’t know. Have never had any dealing with any auto ac switches..
