Agreed. Me and Jessica have gone every year for the past 6. It is extremely crowded but its worth it to get one of their pumpkin rolls.

Hey Jeremy,

Taking the kids to Burts in the TJ.  I know you've been many times, so where is the best place to ride/enter/exit at Amicalola?

Keep on going down 52 headed East.
Take a left onto Nimblewill Church Rd
Take a left onto Nimblewill Gap Rd

This takes you on a nice scenic back gravel road, you avoid going into the actual park and park employees that want you to pay to go through the park (trails are not part of park).

Nimblewill Gad Rd is just a gravel rd that climbs up the mountain, 2wd all the way here, but feel free to pull off to the right and hangout by the River. There is a closed Forest Rd to your right after it turns to gravel but it is not closed till after the Creek crossing so it makes a for a nice parking spot.. Then at the top it intersects with Old Buctown Rd (straight ahead) and Amicallua Mt Rd (to the left). Old Bucktown has some good wash outs so its fun to ride down it aways, then turn around and come back up. Amicallua also is fun, some water holes that I had no probably in the 2 dr JK when I had the crappy street 32" tires on. The further you go up Amicallua the more trails there are. I have not been down all of them (actual roads on the map, not illegal trails) but hope to one day.

Point A on the map is somewhere near the Pumpkin patch I think, and Point B is where the intersection of the trails is.

Mike, I would wait until a few more weeks when the leaves are more colored for fall.  Right now, they are just starting to turn and there is LOTS of green.

Well, went today. It's a 2 hour drive from my house, but we had a good time.

The pumpkin roll was tasty. We had some with dinner and threw the rest in the freezer for Turkey Day. {toast}

Yeah, that would blow.  It's high-time I snag a pumpkin already.  It's only gettin' closer everyday and the selections are gettin' slimmer by the day.
