okay i just got off the phone with geico about insurance for the rig. they had everything lined up cheapest around for full covarage, then i asked if the have aftermarket insurance like progressive does, they ask what i have so i tell them whats on the truck, i get put on hold for a few minutes and the person comes back on and tells me that they will not cover any vehicle sitting over 6 inches ( at the bottom of the rocker panel to the ground) so I ask her would they cover a stock vehicle (I.E. the new ford superduty 4wd, sits 7.5 off the ground) and she says no and if they do insure you and you have an accident and the adjuster looks at it and sees that its taller than that they drop you backdated to the day the coverage started. so be careful for those of you who have geico ins with liftkits :bs) :bs) :bs) :bs) {toast}

problem is i got arrested lastmonth for reckless driving i was going 33 mph too fast the guy that had been throwing shit at me from his windows got off scott free i was on my bike trying to pass him on dallas highway and he kept speeding up when i would try and go around the cop threw his lights and im the one who stopped needless to say 16 hrs in jail sucked i ended up in general population all i can say is on the road i go 5 under now i will never go to jail again

I have Geico and they dont have a problem with my jeep... i even asked them if i could get speed bump ins so if i jacked it up at the mall i would be covered.

I have State Farm. They have been cool with my JK. I have all my property and house insured through them. They don't care for me doing Scuba, wanting my freefall Certification or my job. WTF? Insurance and taxes.....what a scam!!!

i take you have life ins with them too huh.... when you do crazy stuff like jump out of planes or swim under water they get alittle pissy....but you can smoke and drink yourself to death and they dont care.... dont get it....

I have ol' Geico... I reviewed our contract when signing and nowhere does it state we are not covered due to X amount of lift or height from ground... So if they changed it I have not recieved any updated material and will fight that thing till the end if need be.
I had State Farm but they were killing me price wise... No accidents or tickets yet I paid $260 a month for my Tiburon, and the Wrangler was around $210 a month and they Qouted Megan at like $230 on the Liberty. Same coverage with Geico and we pay $250 a month for both vehicles.

Ben, your right on this one. There are many great feelings out there...but no vehicle payment. Thats close to the top by far!!

Oh yeah! No payments is the best! Nothing like actually owning your rig! I could start another poll on that and I bet 75% of you guys are still making payments. No thanks! I will NEVER buy another new car or a car where I have to make payments! Used or all cash for a new one. Now if Jeep decides to actually make the truck... I may have to buy one! :D

as far as making payments yeah they suck... but its like everything else in life.... wife=making payments....jeep=making payments...house=making payments.....credit cards=making payments....cable tv=making payments.....AA meeting=still drinking beer so yea making payments there too...

Well, I don't plan on having payments for anything soon. I am shooting to be out of debt by this time next year. Only thing I will have a dedicated bill for other than cable, phone etc. will be my house!

My credit card is getting paid off this week (still vet. bills from December!) I think now I am just going to live like a hermit so that I can start saving to make a huge down payment on a house in a year or two.

Keep dreaming. If it ever does come out, I doubt it will be based on the TJ body. Now that Hummer is coming out with it's truck version of the H3, we may have hope though.

lol I am a few steps behind you but on the same track. Got a little more work to get the CC paid off then its house saving time... Guess somewhere in there we both need to squeeze in a diamond ring for the ladies huh?

Back to the Jeep truck... Mike, I think the H- ehatever will bring this Jeep to the table. Jeep needs another good seller and tell me who would not want that thing!? Probably the perfect wheelbase and accessories are abundant already. I think it will happen.
