I am going to be buying a 20’ stick of 7 gauge (about 3/16”) 2”x6” steel right after Thanksgiving for a little project. I only need 12 feet of it, so if anyone needs 8 feet to make bumpers or anything let me know. I’ll only want what it cost me ($75 for the 8 ft section). I just hate having to buy a hole stick if I need a little bit.

Nice price! Almost wish I needed it!

Damn. Foiled again. OK, tube. Rectangular tubing, 2" x 6". Has to be exact? He'll let em know.

I need 2 pieces that are atleast 5 and a half feet long. Has to be 2x6, well, might be able to get away with 5" width, I'll have to check. I am open to thickness as long as its not too thin. Thicker won't hurt, it'll be weight in the right place (low).

rockers?

Sort of. I am taking off my sliders, cutting out everything under the doors plus 2" off the bottoms of the door and welding this stuff in. I'll gain 4" of ground clearance over my current set up {cool}
I am pretty much going to be copying this design: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=540357
Check pages 7-9.

Jimmy,look into using 1"x 6" tubing with 5/16" walls.Chrome moley tubing works the best and is really strong.I used it to build my rear trailing arms on my Chevy truck and have never had any problems.

Does any one still have any tubing

Dude, the threads over a year old! lol, what kind of metal are you looking for? If you look in the member's section there is a member that works at a supplier and can get deals for members.
