Well, I have some bad news. I found out today (confirmed) that I'm being transferred to Miami, Florida. My company has a project at the Miami airport that is going sour. I will be here for 7 months and then will be transferred to Rowlett Texas to head up another project. I can't complain too much, I at least know I have a job for another 5 to 6 years. I will be moving here to Miami sometime in January and as soon as I can find an apartment my wife and kid will follow.
Glen et al, I will be in Atlanta from the 24th to the 2nd or 3rd. I know it's not much time but if we can get in one more trip that would be cool. Even if it's something simple as DT, I'll be happy.

well i know that if i go to miami i have a place to crash... get a place on the beach...
-
Sounds like a Chuck goin away mountain party to me!
-
I lived there for a little over 2 years, it's a different world. Check out www.jeeptalk.net (http://www.jeeptalk.net) if you're looking to wheel while you're there.
-
Mike, at least you will be warm on the porch here!

I've checked out a few sites already, seems like they like the mud here!

Well Ben, it seems you know where all the spots are at. ;D I may have only one night, but it would be cool to get one more in!!!!!!!!
-
I'll try and make it.
Sounds like a topless TJ burning up US1 in and out of the Keys.
Good luck Chuck, at least it's not in MN, where I will be having to travel in and out of for work.

Mountains, mountains, mountains {cool}
-
Man that sucks. We hate to see you go, but you just have to thank God that you have a job.

Agreed.
-
Man Chuck, BUZZ-KILL!!LOL!!
Just narrow it down to a place you haven't been maybe, and lets try to do a ride. I am up for anything as well. Man this sucks. But like past threads, atleast your still working.
-
like you said, at least you have a job and it beats alot of other places to move, thats for sure. good luck to you.
-
Damn Chuck, sure hate to hear this. :'( Congrats on the job security though, that's worth a lot right now. We need more old guys! LOL!
We will miss you and Sherry, but no crying til after the party! We're all only a click away here on the boards, and you always have a place (many I'm sure) to stay when you come back to visit, I mean RIDE. ;D River Rock is only 8 hours away! :'(
-
You know Doug, this forum is a great thing and you guys can count it that I will be staying in touch through here. And your right, it's only 8 hours away. So I'm sure we'll see each on a trail again. We need to keep talking and planning that trip out West also, right Ben?
-
Sorry to hear that Chuck. I've got some contacts for Jeep clubs and such in South Florida. I'll dig up some info for you.
-
Thanks Mike!
I did look at one out of Miami, they are called South Florida Jeep Club.

I was in that one, didn't get out with them too many times but they're a good bunch. They have official meetings once a month and an unofficial thing in a parking lot where they have a car show every other week or something like that. All that happens up in Broward. Jeeptalk is their forum and a lot of non members use it too to set up wheeling trips. All you'll see down there for the most part is sloppy black mud and deep water, it's fun but not as fun as mountain trails, etc. to me.
-
We will ride again man! Mountains are calling....
-
Hate to see you go, but congrats on the new job. River Rock is your closest ride now, so let us know whenever you come up!
