Title: Is a 9.25 axle good for anything?
Post by: RotorHead on May 21, 2009, 09:27:20 PM
I have access to a 9.25 axle out of a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500. Is it worth anything?

I think they are comparable in strength to a 60. The AAM axles don't have much aftermarket support though.

Not quite^

Maybe the 10.25 but think about it. It was used in a 1500 truck and the 60 was/is used in 2500-3500 trucks. And Jeep Cherokees had 8.25s...

Sure itd probably be around the strength of a HP44 or a 9" but without the aftermarket I doubt id be worth it IMO.

Someone who has actually seen them might have some input but im going from knowing what theyre used in and what not...

Good point, not sure what I was thinking. I do have a 9.25 in the front of my 2500 though.

They are a decently strong axle but little aftermarket support and they're c-clips. Not worth it in my opinion.

Thanks for the input guys. If you know anybody that might want it, my neighbor picked it up for free so you could probably get it cheap, really cheap.
