Title: Colorado Trip
Post by: Matt on May 27, 2009, 11:19:41 AM
Well I am heading to CO friday morning. Just a long road trip with lots of stops. I will be gone all next week. Is there anything worth stopping or seeing on the way out.

We are taking 40 to Santa Fe, NM then up 25 to Denver. This will be my second trip out 40. Last time we drove to vegas. If there is anything worth stopping at or seeing in CO let me know.

PIKE'S PEAK!!! WHORE!

On a side note, looks like I might be going to see ol' Kenny Chesney Thursday... we'll see.  I ended up scoring some tickets and I'm giving them to my mom for her birthday and she seems like she wants me to go with her, so it depends on that.

That's what I'm here for.

Have fun Matt.  I wish I could go.

Me too.  I love Colorado just from what I've seen, which isn't much.

I think pikes peak is on the itinerary.

It better be on the itinerary.  Go find yourself and Escudo and go roarin' up the side of it!!   :D

If you get the chance ride I-70 from Denver to Vale. Gorgeous scenery with the interstate being basically a bridge for several miles!

Just got to our room in Tucumcari, NM. Should see CO tomorrow. We are going to take 285 up from santa fe, passed the Sand Dune National Park, towards Leadville & Aspen. The scenery is great here. You can see for miles. I wish I had the Jeep on several occasions.

Man, you're already way the hell out there?  I was gonna call you yesterday and see how everything was going.  See if you've murdered Jessica and left her corpse in the desert?  ;D

How's the GPS workin' for ya?

Jessica says "Ha Ha Daniel, I appreciate that little message!!"

We are in Salida, CO. Had a nice ride through NM today. Lots of scenario changes. We seen the Rio Grande Gorge, Great Sand Dune National Park and lots of mountains.

Here is a photo of some hippies that sale hand massages & baked goods out of there van, while playing a Citar.

Here are some pics of the gorge. This is where they filmed thelma & louis driving the car off in the canyon. Far from the grand canyon. The car is still in the gorge.
