Title: Twice The Fun!
Post by: TedderX on July 02, 2009, 06:37:43 AM
Woohoo!  Today's the the big day!  My father had to convince me to go(reverse psychology I know).  Haha.

Check it out!

I'm up to date on the Jeep market, so I know his pricing is steep.  Going to see what I can do to talk him down.

Oh yea, anything good in Cartersville I should check out while I'm there?  That breakfast place at Gainesville was awesome.

I've know several people that have bought from them.  They are way overpriced and from talking with others they do not have the knowledge of jeeps.  I go by there every know and then but have never stopped in.

what are you looking for.  There is a ton of good deals on craigslist.

Just looking right now is all.  Seeing what they got.  Most likely going to be an LJ though.

Yea, I surf CL pretty often.  They've even got advertisements on CL.

Dad has even talked about a CJ8, but I think that'll be the next Jeep later on in life.

I caught this a little late, but if you are ever back in Cartersville I recommend eating at either 4way diner or Ross's diner. 2 of the best places to eat in that town if you like artery clogging goodness.

So you're dads wanting to buy you another Jeep?

No, He's buying himself one now that mine meets the GATR Required Trail Riding Gear, and we're going to fix his up to be Trail Ready that way he can wheel too.

Now, on to my opinion.

The people there are actually nice people and they know what they're talking about, at least I think so.  It's just they're pretty over priced and they can cut you if you aren't careful.

When we pulled up they liked my Jeep and told me hey, you don't have to show us your liscense, insurance, nothing.  Just get in a Jeep and go where ever you want(they leave the keys in the Jeeps).  That was a nice touch of respect, as everyone else there that I saw and overheard, they were requiring them to do the normal stealership routine to test drive their Jeeps.

We drove an LJ on 35's, stock LJ, stock JKU Rubicon, stock JK X, and a stock TJ Rubicon.

All I've got to say is wow!  Didn't like the four door so well, but I loved the two door JK.  If I could find a way to fit JK seats in my TJ, I'd be in heaven.  Only thing I didn't like about the two door JK is the 6 speed(If I could buy one, I'd get used to it real quick), you can't really hear the engine so it's hard to tell how much gas you're giving it, and the windshield header channel.  Oh yea, I hate how they put the power window switches on the the center of the dash, so I'd be sure to get regular windows that you turn the handle to go down, that or half doors.

I loved the feel of the LJ on 35's, not so much the stock LJ.

Amanzingly, I only saw one TJ with a 3 inch BL, everything else was either stock or all SL.

And then of course before we left I had to ask if I could drive my Jeep on their test track just to say I've done it.  Actually was a nicely built track and would excite the heck out of someone looking into getting into Jeeps.  When I asked the owner about it, he said "You know it already. As long as it's a Jeep, go have fun.  No fords, shitty chevys, dodges, or imports.".  I guess that was a nice lil ending that I had respect for.

So yea, when I get older and looking at buying a new Jeep, I'll definately be considering a restored stock CJ7 project, lifted LJ project, lifted JK 2 door project, or a lifted ZJ/WJ project.

When I was looking around I almost purchased a very nice XJ from them for 3500.00. I didnt go that route.

Josh bought his jeep from them and traded his Magnum. They bounced a check to the dealership and guess who had a late payment and had to pay lots of fees, thats right Josh did. Not very professional about the whole situation. But in the end it all worked out, but not a pleasure to deal with.
