Title: Sweet GPW
Post by: mdo817 on August 02, 2009, 11:15:34 PM
Ok here is the deal, Friday I rode with Jimmy to go pick up a tire, when he dropped me back off I went to pick up my Grandson, I just so happened to have a camera with me to shoot some pictures of him. Right around the corner from his daycare I spotted this: What I believe to be a Ford GPW, I've never seen this ride around here before.

Yep, that's a GPW.  biggest way to tell is that it has 9 instead of 7 slots on the grille.

There's also one where the grille slots are turned horizontal instead of verticle.  just can't remember which company it was.

Man that thing is awesome, like looking back in time. I'd guess that the gun isn't real if he leaves it sitting in a parking lot like that, haha.

Not sure, but it's really not much of a parking lot, it was parked right in front of our lawnmower shop in the Grove. I would have went in and talked to him about it but I knew that I would be long winded and I was ready to get my little guy and take him to see my Mom and Dad.

x2. It'd be so sweet to have one of those around campus. I'd be so cool, UTPD and UTCSO wouldn't touch me.

That is awesome! No telling how many hours someone spent restoring that, finding the correct parts & whatnot.
