im going hopefully and i plan on picking up the rest of the crap i need to lift my jeep ;D

I'll be there along with a bunch of my wheeling buddies. We picked up our winches there last year at a smokin deal, sliders,and other small things. Plan on getting a couple more winches this year and hopefully get a good deal on a 4.88 gear set.

For your truck I would go for a 10000 lb. winch,, XRC has one for around $400.

I went last year--but there was cooler rigs out in the parking lot than in the show. Maybe the nephew and I'll go..I need to check out tires and some other stuff.

Not sure, best day to deal is on Sunday afternoon so they don't have to pack stuff up. I'll wait and see if the Southside group is having a workday in my shop Sat. or not.

I vote no... I was there ALL weekend last time and I can tell you most prices stayed the same from Saturday to Sunday. Yes Mile Marker and a few others did get a little cheaper sunday but there was no last hour blow out sales going on. I stayed till the end to hear the Hemi JK crank up ;D

Ah the Tabernackle, good venue. I have a concert at 5 so I wont be spending a ton of time there. Basically going to say hi to some people and to get some lunch.

Yep, but proud. Spent an evening at the Cabo Wabo in Cabo San Lucas hoping Sammy would come in, no such luck, but some great rock and good party.

Well, I grew up with 80's music. Nobody in my house growing up listened to much of the stuff from the 70s. To me, I look at as a cool era where there was still a lot of innocence at a time when the world was changing. Awesome time for rock, southern rock at it's best right there.
I like classic counrtry, but I call classic country anything before the 90's when it wasn't so much country rock. I do like newer things, but it's pretty limited & far from original.

I went by Truckfest while they were setting up to see a friend and it looks pretty much like lastyears show. The only vendor with prices setup was Smittybuilt. I know there 8,000 lbs winch with synthetic rope was $449 and their JK rear bumper/tire carrier was $699. I don't really remember other prices. Skyjacker is also there this year and I don't remember them being there in the past. Last show of the year fellas... maybe some deals can be made.

Stay away from I-75 and I-85 down town this weekend, they're shutting down all but 1 lane for construction. take 285 to the north side of Atlanta if possible...
Hopefully I'll see some of you guys there tomorrow, I'll be getting there around 10 AM and will be leaving probably around 1-2PM on saturday...

I did see Brian and his wife and son though. And I THINK I saw Ray's YJ in the parking lot.
Dad and I decided to just leisure around and make our own schedule because his arthritis was acting up and we didn't eat breakfast so he couldn't take his medicine; we didn't want to slow the group.
We got two free Daystar Hilift Handle Isolaters!, bunch of catalogs to read about, even a 20% discount for Optima.
I bought some of them preset tire deflators, but kind of confused on how to set them, so I'm going to try it out later today.
I hate Skyjacker for having that blame LJ right as we walked in the door, first thing we saw, and dad was drooling over it. Now he's pretty much dead set on getting an LJ instead of a JK. My favortie was that Silver JK sitting close to the Hooter's Truck in the back.
There was a steal blue TJ and and Tan TJ chopped and stretched on the opposite ends of the building that have "SBC" stickers. They were also at our M&G, who are they?
Oh yea, and I can't remember who said it but I agreed, there were alot beter rigs in the parking lot than in the show IMO. We drove around every level looking at them all before we left.

I got a few pics from yesterday that I'll post up later....
Scored a MV-50 air compressor, some Hella 500FF Fog lights, and a set of screw in polly bumpstops all for less than $150. All in all, I think it was much better than last year, there just weren't as many giveaways. I almost pulled the trigger on a winch but decided I could get a better deal if I just wait a while...

I liked the show. My son was running around looking at all of the trucks. My two favorite rigs was the buggy from Overkill Engineering and that old Ford buggy in the Interco area for sale. I am not a fan of rat rods so I did not care for the unfinished rust look of the body but it was cool.
