Title: What to use for a border for the logo?!
Post by: wtheonew on November 05, 2009, 11:51:53 PM
OK, this should be my last random question.  ::)

We want a 1/2" navy blue border around the GT logo on the table.  I just can't think of anything that would fit the bill.  Something LIKE the blue electrical tape you see in stores, but navy instead.

So ideas, just needs to be:
- ~1/2" wide.
- form-able to curves and straight lines
- Navy blue
- as thin as possible so that is doesn't create a ridge in the poly covering the entire thing...

Thanks again everyone  {toast}

Paint?

Yea, that's all I really got.

Edit:  If you go to hobbly lobby, the sell paint "brushes".  They're basically a sponge on the end of the stick.  Maybe that'd give you good enough straight lines.

Paint is our fall back option right now.  The G is just such a big curve that I feel like it wouldn't come out as uniform as we're looking for.  Really hoping we don't have to go that route...

How big of a G do you need? You could print it out on 11 x 17 paper and use a razor blade to cut it out and use the paper as a pattern and paint it on. If you need a bigger one find someone with a cad program and a plotter and go as big as you need. As far as lines go just tape it off and paint it in. It is a more work but it I think you'll be happier with it in the end.
