It's really the first free weekend I've had in a while. I really just want to get out of the house for a day.
I don't really know where to go, so if someone has a idea & would like to go, let me know. Nothing way extreme, maybe some trails, or whatever.
I'm Located in Marietta.

I think it's okay to crosspost here; we're getting a ride together for Saturday with the ExPo locals. All GaTRs welcome, of course. Same basic ride rules and good vibe.

I just heard from Pilotjimmy; he's meeting us at the rest stop above Lake Burton at 10:00 tomorrow morning.
Just bringing dog toys and road snacks; not heavy wheeling but we'll follow our noses and have fun.

I will meet the Waffle House group around 8:30 at Ga 400 and GA60. I will be in a blue '97 TJ. I am looking forward to riding with you guys.

Nice, where was that at?
10 minutes from Clayton, off of 76.
-
I bought a new video software package yesterday and whipped this up before I read the directions...
-
Cool what program is it?

Cool what program is it?
Sony Vegas.
My slideshows will get better (I hope) after I figure out what I'm doing.
My sweetie fixed me a Scotch before I started the program last night and I wasn't exactly right in the head... :P

I cant remember the name of the program I used its on my old computer but I like making slide show movies. Im not sure how yours works but I would overlap the time frames and they would change perfect. Also play with the fade it fade out feature.

That hill in the video, did anyone go up it with KM2's?

I don't recall any KM2's specifically.
But any tire could get you up; it really depends on the rig, amount of air, lockers, etc.
I have MTR/K's on a JK with 4.56 gears, open diffs, and autotrans. I tried the hill 7 times at street pressure and couldn't get up; went down to 17 psi and went up like it was my driveway.
The guy in the teal XJ is twice as good a driver as me and has a locker up front; he didn't air-down and really had to work the climb even with SS tires.
The week before, a guy in a beat 4-cylinder TJ went right up with street tread, open diffs, and street pressure. A light rig doesn't need as much "help".
Go figure, right?
-
Tedder the guy that did it on street tires was MazdaTed, Chuckie went up it with KM2's but he is locked front and rear. All about the skinny pedal and how bad you want it.

skinny!!! {toast}
-
Tires aint what gets you up it, you just need a lil speed at the bottom before you get on the hill.

I agree Andy, skinny!!
Hey Andy you going to try and come out to Morris Mountain like we talked about a few weeks ago?

I dont know if ill make it or not, been having a few problems and been tryin to get them worked out. The cv joint in the front driveshaft went bad and I just got it fixed yesterday. Now the passenger side axle seal on the turdy 5 is pouring. It's been to cold to do much. If I dont make this ride I will definately be at the feb ride at river rock.
