Title: IT'S KILLING ME!
Post by: DOUG on November 25, 2009, 09:17:06 PM
Linda's cooking is killing me!  Since Friday, she's made some nice extras:

Vidalia Onion Casserole, 1 Rum Cake, 8 Carrot Cakes, and today 4 Pecan Pies!

Tomorrow is Turkey, Ham, Twice Baked Potato Casserole, Broccoli Casserole, Chicken and Dumplings, Dressing and Gravy, Rolls, Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Silk Pie, and more.

I've been doing good, but this is torture!

What y'all having?

your right it is a huge chow hall, and yes they did have nice spread, i'm completely stuffed.  i think some one was screwing around though, when we got back to the shop it felt like a sauna in here, perfect recipe for sleep.

over here they don't trust the air force with guns so i didn't have to worry about my gun getting cleaned.  although we did have a duck and cover right in the middle of chow, that was fun

Funny you say that...... a friend of mine just deployed as a FAC and when I was asking him about what ACOG they issued him he had no idea....... then when we figured out what ACOG he had on his M4 I asked him how it's POA / POI was set up and he had no clue. He then said and I quote " They told me if I need to use my M4 then I am not doing my job right." I thought he was joking...... there is no way I would deploy without being issued a weapon system I was completely comfortable and proficient with.  ::)

thats funny, i have no idea what any of those accronams are.  they let me shoot M-16a2 before i left, some of the others that went to afghan, got to shoot M-4 and M-9 and they deployed with them.  i'm here with nothing, if it wasn't for the fact that i couldn't get into the armory before i left i would at least have my red dot, for a site, but no weapon.  oh well jsut have to hope they can't get past the 9000+ army that are packing heat here

Warrior??  last time i was there everyone had a weapon..... maybe the AF thinks that you guys cant handle it.. havin a weapon with you 24/7 would make it feel like your in combat and they dont want to stress you out
