Title: Trailer Stolen - Pics - Keep your eyes open please...
Post by: DOUG on May 12, 2010, 09:14:11 PM
From Dacula storage lot... Lot manager says gone for a few weeks, just after I added a braking axle to make it 2, and rebuilt every part on the other axle here.  7 miles on both.

Marker lights on front of fenders are custom/LED, as is the stud welded on for the spare.

The karma will come back around. He will get his hand mashed in between the tongue and the truck bumper or something. He just thinks he got away with it.  {no}

That sucks, bro. Thieves are a bitch. Maybe all four tires will blow on the thief as they are driving down the highway with their payload on it.

Trailer Insurance is dirt cheap, my 2007 Hooper 26 foot gooseneck is a womping 5.00 a month. This is good State Farm coverage, theft and collision. Just throwing this out there for others who might want to look in to it.

Wow, that's incredibly cheap. Will homeowner's cover a trailer if its stolen or damaged at your property, like they would a car? Also, if you didn't have trailer insurance, would your car insurance cover your trailer and/or your load in an accident? Always been curious about that, but with trailer insurance being so cheap, there's really no excuse not to have it.

I don't think homeowners will cover anything that is tagged (motorcycle,boat,trailers ect.). Auto insurance will cover anything you damage with the trailer while towing.

No insurance.  Working another route.  Next one will be insured.  My deductibles are all $1000 so I wouldn't get much.

Had a Master pin lock and a Master lock that covers the lip and receiver hole.

Next time, chains thru the wheels too.

If your cutting through locks to steal trailers, two chains aren't that much extra hassle. Why not keep it at home?

Whats crazy is, in the pic of the trailer, there is a fence with a barbed wire perimeter around the top of it. So either someones cut up real bad or they had a code to get in the gate at the storage facility.  {ehm}

Put a tracking device on the next one. Park it at the same lot with less locks.   {toast}

Its cheaper than insurance deductibles  ;)

EDIT:  You have 2 girls, so you will need one in a few years anyways.
