Title: Looking for a 1991 XJ 4.0 Automatic Transmission

Try Thomas tjl1388 on the board, he just changed one out of a '92 I think, cracked bellhousing but was still shifting good as far as I know.

I think the guy that helped me put the new one in is going to tear into to really learn how they work.  It had 272k miles on it and even though it shifted good I'm not sure I would recommend putting it in as a replacement unless you re-built it.

If you really want it I'll check with the guy and see if he'll part with it.

I still have to come up with the money, but I hope it won't be too long, just scanning my options at the moment but I would appreciate it I could get a price. Thanks to the one who posted the Craig's List ad, I'll definitely contact him.

I'd go to pull apart  $86 30 day war. I went and got one from a 96 and put it in my 89.
