Title: Strength point
Post by: wideload on July 01, 2010, 11:15:34 AM
Rich, a new addition to the club has this Scout and I'm doing some fab work for him here.
The question I have is attach points where the shackles are concerned.
They look weak to me and doable for street use but concerned for off road flex strength.
We wheel mild not wild but still concerned for his ride and safety.
What do you guys think?

As long as the metal is still strong and not rusted it should be fine. If its not welded all the way around you could do that.

Dan is helping me by fabbing some stuff for my Scout Traveler.

I call him the "mad fabricator" when he says he'll act accordingly, I'll probably wind up with an entirely new custom frame.....  ;D ;D ;D
