Title: christmas wish lists...
Post by: Krawler00 on December 15, 2010, 10:35:37 PM
so, just for fun, what do you guys want for xmas. Real gifts, not dana 60's, 14 bolts, etc. ;)

I am asking for a new headlamp, bike rack, coverall bibs and a new all in one watch that has an altimeter, barometer, compass etc.

A 60 would be a real gift, I usually buy all the other guy stuff myself. {ehm} If I hadn't bought all the little gadgets and tools I thought I needed this year, I could have bought a 60.

I haven't really asked for anything, I told D don't worry about it, it's really more about the Grandkids to me now.

Im in the same boat Mark I have bought so much stuff that Christmas is not gonna be much for me. If I had a wish it would be for a tube bender or bigger welder. I did ask for socks though.

I've never been much for asking for things...my whole family is the same way. We just do for each other all the time, and Christmas is just a good reason for us all to get together and celebrate just being together. Plus a lot of our gifting has been going to my sis and her husband setting them up for their first child in February.

Although I have made one request for an ipod of some sort since my iphone got stolen this summer. Love my new droid...but it doesn't play all my itunes music and I've been missing my music in my jeep!

My parents will get me something but as to what I have no clue. My girlfriend and I will be splitting a ski trip to NC in January or February for our Xmas to each other. I've spent a lot on my jeep so I'm real happy and don't need much unless we are talking about CJ project which equals multiple $$$$'s.

my parents refuse to support my "car habbit" so i dont even bother asking for parts for xmas. my dad will always buy me tools tho, so thats awesome.

big things for me this year are new boots, insulated coveralls (for MM ride {letseat}), a grinder and a full set of impact sockets.

Im in the same boat Mark I have bought so much stuff that Christmas is not gonna be much for me. If I had a wish it would be for a tube bender or bigger welder. I did ask for socks though.

I dont have to ask for those, they are a staple in my house for xmas.  ;D

World peace, safe return for our military men/women, health, and wisdom top the list.

Buying stuff sorta happens throughout the year so we mainly focus on family.  However, (if you're reading this, hon) on the materialistic side; I wish for Glock 22, Warn 8000, battery-powered socks, and side-mounted brake light for the scoot (still working on bobbing the fender).

A tow rig would also do quite nicely!

But like most, I'll get this stuff when I get it. Christmas is more about the real reason for the season, and being with family and friends.

I haven't really asked for anything, I told D don't worry about it, it's really more about the Grandkids to me now.

Update on the above two post.
Santa came by tonight, his sled is much different than I remember as a kid, it looked like this.

And the back of it looked like this.  :o :o :o
(http://i428.photobucket.com/albums/qq9/mdo817gatrailrider/D60/DSCN1583.jpg)

There was even a short little song that came with it:

Come and listen to a story about a man named Mark
off road fanatic, tired of his XJ sittin' in park!
Then one day Donna got a brilliant plan
and project "Find a Dana 60" began
axles that is, 5:13 Gears, with a locker!

Well first thing you know Richard's searchin' the internet
called up Donna and said "Found one don't fret!"
Said to Metter Ga. is where I got to drive
So he loaded up the truck with Jimmy by his side!
Backseat, that is!
7AM, On a Sunday!

All I can say is that I'm blessed with a wonderful wife and good friends.
Thanks for all the help yall gave her to make my Christmas friggin' awesome.

When my mom asked what I wanted for xmas I named a couple different games for PS3.

Her response was "My 34 year old son wants video games for xmas?"

So then I told her the other option:
Dana 44 front axle with 4.10 gears and an ARB locker,
ARB Locker and 4.10 gears for my rear axle,
ARB compressor to run the lockers.

Looks like I'll get a video game. :bs)

60 install in my stuff and nothing like those buggy spring things, you just roll it under and slap some u-bolts on. I'll let you know, it won't before Morris Mountain, I still have to fab ram mount, check and replace what ever is worn. I've torn it down but that's as far as I've gotten.
