a new trans woo hoo. the a4ld crapped out on me yesterday on my way to my grandpas. so i got this m5od-r1

i wish he woulda sent me a block plate. i have the pedals, flywheel clutch and all that jazz in and the trans is in about 2" away from the motor, and i cant do crap without it. ordered one from ford thursday but they said 7-14 days and i gotta return the loaner rig lol. called all the junkyards and they acted like they aint know what i was talkin about..."sir we dont take parts off the transmissions" are u serious? i even went into a 30min explanation of what i meant by a block plate. fawkn noobies

Its annoying as hell trying to describe something simple to someone and you only get the blank stare... Well, don't feel bad... I dropped a engine in a 90 Xj the other day and as I was installing the front engine mount bolts I realized something didn't look right. I had forgotten to put the plate in behind the flywheel. Yeah, I wasn't so happy to have to pull it out again but i had to.

well the plate come in yesterday and i finally got the trans in today...5spd swap complete. so much better then the crappy a4ld. has a 3.76:1 first gear first 2.72:1. thing actually has some balls now, and i have no problem pulling hills at 70 now. looks like i might be able to turn some 35's with some 4.56's...now i gotta save up for some tires
