Title: slide in camper
Post by: wideload on January 16, 2011, 05:03:08 PM
I've seen several on CL but by the time I had to get there they were sold or POS status.
Anyone know of one thats reasonable and not something that would scare the deer out of the woods should they see it?
This needs to be decent in estetics and accomodations...no junk, sort of on the same order as Marks.
You know the drill yourselves.
Thanks for any pointers you have.

I will sell you Marks. He will never notice it missing.

I will keep my eyes open I was looking for them about 2 weeks ago.

I'm sure as easy going as Mark is he would shrug his shoulders and say "Oh Well"!

I just texted Judd who has a slide in forsale. He should post up sometime with the info. I would buy this myself but things are too tight for me right now.

I'd be interested in seeing the camper and knowing the stats.
I've looked at some that were pretty good but no a/c and thats a must.
Most I've looked at were about $1000.00 to $1500.00 which is really a price range I can handle right now.
Let me know if this weekend is good and where you are located plz.

Here is a link to the pictures I have.  I was going to remove that back window and install an AC but never got around to it.  The fridge is a DC/LP unit have I have never used and there is also water storage thats plumbed into the sink that ive also never used.

Damn Jud, where you been? Good to know you're still around. I heard you were spending all your time at the track lately.

Nice camper by the way.

Is this for a long bed or short bed?

Looks like a short bed but thats fine since it's going on the nose of my 20Ft. trailer so the YJ will fit behind it!

Going there on Sunday!

Hey man!  Ive eat up with road racing.. Get out to the track every chance I get.  I want to come out sometime. I love spending the day in the woods.  I got a dana 60 front and dana 70 out of a 81 F250 that I need to build and throw under my Jeep but road racing takes my money and time.

I got my wife's mostly stock 97 TJ that I can bring out anytime and trial ride while watching yall do the cool shit..

Well being a long bed is even better...I take up more room than most so the extra volume will be a plus.
LOve the idea of having a cavity on each side for my generator and little mig 140 to fit under there and tool and extra crap on the other side.
Will build a cover with 12 to 16 ft. of steel panels for cover, weld in some supports for hammocks, fold down table for eating and grilling if I want to just camp well there ya go, either or!
Should be interesting build...welding we will go! {letseat}

Yes sir. I am looking for a great deal on one. Probably going to wait a year or so before I can pay some real money for one.
Hope you enjoy it!! Looking forward to the day when I can get a camper or small RV.

I saw one one here in McDonough that was on CL for $1800.00...newer than the one I'm getting.
I've seen a number of them and missed out on some really good seals because I was too late.
