Thanks Kevin, I am gonna check with Richard (I really am gonna call you Richard) but if he dosen't have anything, can you make it one piece, 3"X5"?
I'd like to get this done before D-Town. Although it doesn't affect the driveability of the Jeep, I just have an annoying rattle and I think this is the culprit.
-
Yeah right. I thunk Im free sat if you want to ride over.
-
Everytime I pick up the phone to call you, someone else walks in wanting something from me. :fu(
-
That's cool. I'm having one of my night shift employees
cut 2 pcs 3'' x 5'' tonight if it's slow. If you don't need
them thats fine.
-
I'll take them either way... you never know when your gonna need things like this ;)

I got you 2 pieces cut and will bring them with me.

Thanks Richard!!! Linkage fixed!!! It was actually a little rattle, but by the time it resonated up through the floorbords of my Jeep, it was a loud thumping. At first I thought it was something a lot more serious.
I even got a couple Pics.
First - the linkage before.
Second - Jeep Linkage bracket with the body lift extension bracket attached.
Third - Body lift bracket next to my new bracket.
I think it turned out pretty good considering I only had a hand drill and sawsall to build it with. And, I had to build it twice. When I installed the first one, the linkage was perfectly parallel with the ground. But the end of the linkage (red arrow in first picture) was hitting on the transmission (green arrow). I built the second one about 1/2" to 1" shorter than the first. Works perfectly.
I'll post up more about it when I start my "Project Thread" this Spring. Gotta take the top off first so the pictures come out.

Look at Chuck go.... :o Jk Did you paint it?
-
if I had seen this before I could have givin you my stock t-case shifter bracket and the little plate you made that came with my BL. I went with the advanced adapters bracket that takes locates the shifter to the tcase instead of the body. looks like youre good to go now.

X2 on Advance Adapters bracket
That's what I went with also. Makes it alot easier.
-
Either of you have a link to that AA setup?

thats the one. I'm pretty sure I ordered mine straight from them b/c it ended up being a few $ cheaper after shipping than anywhere else, shop around tho. pretty easy install...directions def leave some things up in the air but should take lest than an hour nonetheless.

I'll take your stock bracket. A couple of the nutserts on mine are bad.
I have also heard of a cable actuated shifter. That is what I was planning on going with eventually, but now I might have to decide between the cable and this AA bracket???. I've got other things to spend $$ on first. That is why I went the cheap route on this for now.

Didn't paint it, it is only supposed to be a temp fix. If, in a couple months if it is still there, I'll pull it back off and paint it.
Well, maybe I ought to go ahead and paint it now ::) It'll probably be there a while :-\

yeah man, I can send it to you if you want. shoot me a pm.
This is another option http://www.novak-adapt.com/catalog/kit_sk2x.htm (http://www.novak-adapt.com/catalog/kit_sk2x.htm), I know gusagus has the mechanical one and raves about it, haven't heard anything about the cable one listed here but I haven't searched the topic in over a year. {toast}

Thanks for the link Kyle.
Nah, don't send it to me, we'll meet back up on the trail or if someone else lives near you and is going to D-Town this weekend maybe they can deliver, or vice-versa. Not in a hurry.

A simple fix is to cut a slit in the part that bolts to the floor so the bracket slides in the center and is back in the stock location.

yep i have the mechanical one and it's great, mounts up to the tranny and just works. hardest part was you need a torch to bend the shifter to fit
