I was there watching last year and it was intense. Some of them buggies would just plan get it.
-
I am new to this so forgive me... is this a timed event? And how steep is the hill? I know, videos never do anything any justice! Those are killer little buggies. Love the turbo setups.
-
Yes Ben its a timed event and the hill is pretty steep. The one they ran last year at Chocco is one that I have yet tried becasue I would hate to have to back down it. Some of the buggies were just stupid fast.
-
They are not all stupid fast... The two in the videos are top dogs.. Both of them have Turbos and NOS.. Most of the buggies are no where near that powerful..
Everyone is there to just have fun.
Everyone goes up a reasonable Qualifying Hill. Based on your Qualifying time, everyone is equally divided into 3 Classes and race up 3 different hills.
A Class - Extreme
B Class - Difficult
C Class - Moderate
I am not very competitive and normally run in the C Class. But that is fine.. I am just there to have fun..

I know a lot of people are going to be at Shamrock run at Morris Mountain next weekend and cannot join the Hill Climb but it would be great to see some 4x4 in the WindRock / Coal Creek Hill Climb..
I will personally be selecting / designing the hills in WindRock and I will make sure the Qualifying Hill and the Class C hill is Fun for everyone.
Hope you can make it..
