Title: LIGHT trail driving near Eatonton/Lake Oconee?
Post by: DarknessAtDawn on June 23, 2011, 10:19:22 PM
Hey guys, newbie here. I just got a new 2 door Wrangler Sport and I'm heading out towards Lake Oconee in a few weeks. Anyone know of a place where I can test out the 4WD? Not looking for anything fancy or technical, just some forest roads or something where I won't piss anyone off.  Appreciate any tips!

Yeah Durhamtown isn't very far from there at all.  You will have to pay to play there though.  Most of it is fairly mild compared to some parks.

Does the Oconee National Forest have any park roads that you are allowed to ride?

There are a few forests roads around the Rock Eagle 4-H center that we used to hit whenever it snowed down there. The ranger station on 441 should have info
