Title: Gilbert MN, Crawl for the Cure
Post by: Trailabite on July 19, 2011, 07:18:54 AM
Here's a few pic's from the C4C event we attended this past weekend. They raised just a little over $50k for the MS society.

LOL, sort of:

Broken rear upper control arm
Broken passenger mirror
Dented passenger side window frame (door will not shut)
Dented skid plate
Broken rear u-joint
Lost rear brakes
Ripped sidewall out front tire
Stripped the bolt that hold the winch line on the winch drum

I think Mike had the same problem at Harlan. I ended up pulling him rest of the way up a trail and my Smittybuilt didn't explode so it was all good.

Man Chuck, what did you get into with all that carnage?!

A trail! A group of 4 wheelers have been building this trail for 9 years and it's getting ready to open up to the public (once the state opens back up). There's only 1 way in and it makes a loop at the end and you come back out. It's about 3 miles long and the 2 times that I have been there it took us about 7 hours to complete. They ran one of the Ultimate Adventure runs in another part of this park and I think this trail was specifically built for another type of competitive run. You guys need to come up and give it try....

started installing the Rock Krawler 4 link conversion kit last night. Got all of the old brackets off the axle and the truss tacked welded on. Should have it finished up tonight. Unfortunately, I have to replace 2 brake lines, the grinder got a little to close and kind of blew through them.

While I was under my jeep I found out the 3 of my lower long arms are bent, but just slightly.

Finally finished installing the rock krawler 4 link conversion kit  tonight. That takes care of the upper rear control arms. Now I just need to find time to test it out. Now I just need to fix the rear brakes.
