Title: Beasley's Knob
Post by: MickeyMouse on August 15, 2011, 06:18:50 PM
Hello Fellas,

I am planning a trip to Beasley's Knob with some friends from work and I was looking for your advice.  The guys I am going with are mostly novice driving new JK jeeps with 35 inch tires.

If you were taking some new jeeps through Beasleys Knob, what trails would you recommend and/or what trails would you avoid.

We are currently planning to try 93A, 93C and 93D.

Thanks for your input

Don't do 93B and thats about all I can think of. Trails are short so you should be able to cover the park with a small group.

I think 93B is Rattle Snake.  We will stay away.

Just wondering, do any of the trails have a nice overlook?

There is one trail that has a nice overlook but can't remember which one. Stay off 93B if these guys are newbs. other than that, there are a few trails with steep descents and large v ditches to watch out for. Can be tricky even for advanced guys.

The top of 93C can be tricky for newbs, but that is probably the highest point out there, coming up 93D side is a little easier, there is enough room to turn around at the top.

93G is one-way with climbs and ditches, but you can get some good views.  On a lot of the other trails, views will be determined by how much foilage is on the trees.

Don't go if it's rained there in the past 4-5 days.

Thanks for all the info..  I want to make sure everyone has fun with minimal carnage..

I was wondering, if 93G is one-way, how do you get back?

93 and 93G are not "one way" they are "dead ends".  ::)

We went yesterday and had a great time.  There were 4 JK jeeps and my buggy.  We spent most of our time on 93D and 93C.   We were fortunate, no major carnage and no one got hurt.

We had one guy have some brake issues and we were borrowing brake fluid from the other jeeps.  Here is a quick movie trailer one of the guys put together.
