Title: Need to borrow or rent ball joint press
Post by: Metro on January 25, 2012, 08:42:54 AM: Well I was planning to rent a ball joint press but it seems that Autozone doesn't rent the press that I believe I need to do the job. This one:

Anyone got any ideas where I can rent one or does anyone have one I can borrow? I don't really want to buy one when I'll probably never use it again.

Yep Advance had the right tool and they do have a rental/pruchase and return program. I'll be doing the job tomorrow evening if anyone wants to stop by.

Thanks for the offer. We got them in there though. I was surprised at how easy the job was. The hardest part is figuring out which pieces of the ball joint press to use. Thanks to Mike, Doug, and Lawton for stopping by and helping.

It is tighter up front. Really looking forward to getting my RK tie rod, new TREs and steering stabilizer. I ordered Teraflex SS. We'll see if it is worth a sh!t. The price was good but people seem to have mixed feelings about it.
