Title: Lincoln 180C welder
Post by: IRIDEKTM on May 01, 2012, 10:28:19 PM
Im selling my Lincoln 180c to upgrade to a bigger machine. It has been a great welder for me and has done everything I need it to do. Always been taken care of and cleaned. Never dropped or abused. Lays a nice MIG bead and nice flux bead as well.

I'll take $550 for it pretty firm on the price.

Located in Milledgeville but willing to meet within reason. I travel to Atlanta/Buford area quite often

Thanks

Picture? What all comes with it?

2 spools of flux core and one spool of solid and all the consumables I have left. I might still have the box it came in too. It's been a great welder I just am working with 1/4-1/2" much more frequently and would like to upgrade. I'll grab a picture in a few minutes.

This is not the Home Depot Lincoln welder. I have used it to build two trucks 1/8-1/2" plate and 6 bumpers amongst other things. Never given me a lick of an issue. You are more then welcome to come take a test drive on it before you buy.

I'm just getting started on welding and looking for a decent beginners mig.  Pretty sure I'll just be working with 1/4" & smaller so this may be what I need. Let me do some more research & looking around before I make a decision.

It's great for beginners! And will do anything you want it to 1/4" and smaller all day long. Ive done 1/2" and 1" with it before as well. Feel free to come play with it if you are seriously interested.

Do you see yourself coming to the Buford area anytime soon?

I am moving there in July!

I will be back and forth between Norcross/athens/milledgeville area quite frequently up until then. More then happy to bring it back with me.

Give me a shout if you are interested and we can work something out.

Thanks

I just saw these replies, sorry for the delayed response. I'm right off 316 in Bethlehem (between Athens & Dacula/Lawrenceville) Think it'd be possible to swing by, plug it in and run a few welds one day?

I'll be in that area next Tuesday. Do you have 220v in your garage or do I need to bring my extension cord to run from the dryer? I can't bring the cylinder so all you can use is flux when I bring it by. I don't mind bringing it as long as you are planning to make a deal if it is what you want!

Yeah, I just installed a 220v outlet in the garage last month for a Lincoln stick welder I bought.
From the research I've done, this machine seems like it'll handle what I need it for (once my welding skill gets to where i want them).
I'm sure we can make a deal. Otherwise I wouldn't waste your time or mine.
What time do you think you'll be in the area? I'm pretty flexible but I do need a heads up for work.

Yea this does everything I need it to and have never been disappointed. I would keep it if I could afford to have two welders.

Dentist apt at 11 then possibly an interview mid afternoon. Anytime should be good after 12 and before 9pm. Send me a pm with your cell number.

Said your inbox is full.

I get off at 5 but I can leave earlier if necessary. I work in Buford at the Allsouth compound (front building doing the fire sprinklers) so I'll need at least a 45 min heads up.

Emptied!

I might be able to swing by Allsouth with it on Tuesday if it's ok with Danny. Might make it easier for both of us.

I was just going to say that. He's coming by the shop Tuesday if you just want to try the welder out there.

Sounds like that'll be the easiest for both of us. Just have them give me a shout when you get there & I'll walk to the back. We can plug it up and everybody can get a kick out of my first time on a MIG    //NOOB//

Thanks Danny.  {cheers2}

Haha sounds good man. It ain't that hard just need a steady hand and a little practice and you can lay stacked dimes with it! I will let you know what time I plan to be over there once I have it all figured out.

Sounds good.
Plus this way I can slip it into the garage unnoticed. Keep me safe from the old lady for a little while.
