The Sheriff's JeepFest 2012 is a 3 day event that takes place in Pickens County Georgia the weekend of September 14th–16th. Pickens County is located one hour northwest of Atlanta and is the gateway to the Appalachian Mountains.
The JeepFest is an annual event that is sponsored and operated by the Pickens Sheriff's Office. Sheriff Donnie Craig is an avid and active supporter of the Georgia Sheriff's Youth Homes and hosts this event as one of the major annual fund-raisers for the Youth Homes.
The event is staffed by volunteers from law enforcement agencies and local Jeep Clubs from all over North Georgia ensuring a high-quality, safe and well organized event in a family-friendly environment.
We are very excited about some of the sponsors and vendors that will be at the event providing you access to the some of the major names and manufactures in the off-road industry.
In the evenings you can hang out at the bonfire, grab a bowl of chili, socialize with other jeepers, kick tires and listen to some great country, bluegrass and gospel bands.
GATR is working to try and help at the event and we will be wheeling as well. Please post up here if you can attend and possibly help out during the event!

Friday: Jeep Scanvenger Hunt - All Day- Pickens County
Friday: Vendor Meet and Greet 6PM - Until Rocco's Pub
Saturday: Registration, Group Rides, Obstacle Courses,Dinner, Music, Night Ride
Sunday: Breakfast, Group Ride, Obstacle Courses, Sunday Mountain cruise
These are a few of the events going on for the entire weekend. If you want to volunteer please check-in and also say what day you want to help. Let's make GATR stand out big for North Georgia

I need to clarify my statements regarding the trail work party for Saturday the 11th. Saturday only, starts at 09:00, meet at the sheriff's office parking lot like before. My statements regarding 24 people per day were referring to JeepFest weekend not this weekend.
On JeepFest weekend we will need approximately 24 people on Saturday and 24 on Sunday to be trail leaders, spotters and cabooses. A lot of people but it ensures you only work for a couple hours and then you are free the rest of the weekend.
Thanks again for everyone's enthusiasm and willingness to help. This is a great opportunity to build a JeepBeach scale event in our own backyard.
