Title: Happy Friday.
Post by: kent10sne1 on September 21, 2012, 05:40:35 AM
Well, we are just that much closer to Gulches.    on cup #6 , feeling pretty good.   got some tennis tomorrow morning, then, mow the yard, maybe I will attempt to get the fenders done, depends on
if the wife will let me alone for that long.   lol

My jack came in yesterday.  heavy heavy, well built.  jack mounts still not in yet.  so its not on , once it gets on ill get an updated pix.

the wife is headed off to OK to see our daughter in college, so Oct 6th and 7th. I'm by my self, just me and the dog.   maybe ill go do some moderate open trails, hopefully my bumpstops will be in, I'm suppose to run over to allsouth to get them slapped on.

I guess after i get my bumper, i may be looking for some kind of lunch-box locker for my Fronts?  I'm guessing its something you can put on without jacking the car up?  and hopefully is simple.  i will have to google that..

Ooo well, back to lurking, and drinking more coffee ,

maybe easy for you, but for someone as challenged as, say.. Hmm  ME  it would be a 3 day , 2 case of beer debacle , i tried watching a video of an install , they had to jack the jeep up, remove the wheels
then the shaft.  im like.  dang...!  how is this a lunch-box thing, takes me 30 min just to get the lug nuts off.

Well, I played in college, it actually paid for my school, I'm pretty much sandbagging for a friend, he needed bodies, and my subdivision does not have a team, so I'm on a B1 team.

yea , yea, i know but I'm nice, only 2nd servers, maybe a few slices , i only push it when i run across some young tird with a chip or an attitude, then i pull the trigger.   ;D  i started playing
low because my wife is a low A player, and she wanted US to do something together, back in the 15 to 20 year marrage mark....  so i started moving my level down, sandbagging, so i could
play on a team she was on.   I played a few seasons with her on a Low A team, then sat out for a few seasons, till i dropped off and she moved to a B team and i moved with her.  yea, pisses
some ppl off, but i don't hit to hard, i kind of just stay consistant and let them either hit a winner or make an error , which they do most of the time.    however, i have been surprised to
see ppl who should, like me be playing higher, at B1.    anyway, its an excuse to drink beer afterwards.    ;D

I dont know, Im going to see Danny at allsouth nxt week.  thursday if they come in.  and having him install them, ill watch, but my skills on such things are limited. so better left to the pro's.

i think the fronts are teraflex, but u will have to ask Danny.  im cutting my flares this weekend or early nxt week and then i want to make sure the stops keep my wheels from actually hitting when they flex
so hopefully danny can make it all work.   at least thats what everyone says, Allsouth guys will make it right, im also going to have him install a spider bumper.  once i get the funds set i will have danny order it.
im looking at http://shop.poisonspyder.com/JK-Front-Bumper-Brawler-Bar-p/17-16-020-b.htm (http://shop.poisonspyder.com/JK-Front-Bumper-Brawler-Bar-p/17-16-020-b.htm)

They also make a bumper that has a place for them.  A bunch of companies do if you want to keep them.

I really like the look of the other one.  i can allways figure a whay to attach them to the side or top. but Im pretty set on this  http://shop.poisonspyder.com/JK-Front-Bumper-Brawler-Bar-p/17-16-020-b.htm (http://shop.poisonspyder.com/JK-Front-Bumper-Brawler-Bar-p/17-16-020-b.htm)   bumper.  I like its look and its ends better than the one you have pictured..

They make a roller fairlead mount that has light tabs for that

The BFH is a nice bumper.  Simple, light, high clearance.  You do have to cut your frame though, but it's worth it IMO.
