Title: New Poly Performance JK (2007+) cage kit
Post by: jc79 on October 18, 2012, 08:40:54 PM
I know Tony and Bobby saw this over on JKOwners... But thought I'd post it here, too.

Poly has just released a cage kit for all JK's (2007+). It's "thru the dash" in the front, has A- and B-pillar frame tie-ins, and harness bars for 5-point harnesses. Very slick!

Price is around $1200 (4 door). Welding is required, plus painting. But it's still going to wind up being a lot cheaper than a full custom cage.

It's a heck of a cage, I would say hands down the best "off the shelf" cage for the JK.

Only thing I'm waiting on is to see the install directions, which should be out soon. I just want to go over those to make sure I know what is involved in the install. I know the new design goes through the dash(much better than their old design) and I think they are working on the speaker relocation issue.

Not a lot of love for the PSC cage recently on JKO...

Because they didn't retain the upper windshield mounts, folks are seeing door, window and top misalignment.  Not to mention the general issues with install templates.

No kidding!  I'm guessing there is about 20 hours of work in the install, give or take.

From the responses I have seen from Larry, they don't seem to be interested in adding a tie in to the windshield.  Has that changed?
