Thanks for all the feedback everyone. I figured itíd safe to leave my stuff at the park, but not knowing you guys, itís not easy to ask... Iíve reserved a room for fri & sat nights, but may still decide to camp. Either way, it looks like Ruby & I will be there sometime Friday...
Really looking forward to it. Weíve only done day rides and am psyched to meet/ride with some new folks...

Most of the times I have been to AOP, I stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Kimball, TN right there near the park.  I have parked my truck and trailer with my jeep there many times overnight and have never had any issues.

I have never had an issue either but that side parking lot at the hotel can be sketchy.  I watched a latino guy in a shitty sedan pull into that parking lot every half hour, sit for 2-3 minutes, and then drive off to come back again in half an hour.  Never got out to disturb any vehicles so he wasn't there for that but not sure what he was there for...

I have had no issues with the hotel parking my Ex old tj and camping with GATR you wonít regret unless you donít camp then you will. AOP is great park and GATR is a great family Jeep club!
.... on another note Iím not able to make it and really wanted too. Iím sad as my jku is getting surgery and Iím in a 5.7 hemi ram for a rental.

On hotel subject , I'll confirm that stuff is safe at Park if you drive to go eat.

Like @Bjk77 said, many of us bring our kids.

As @Big Dave states, most times someone has extra food ( he&his family shared lunch w my daughter & I this summer on a ride!) . There is stuff to drive ( it's safe to leave yer rig and trailer while ya head either) for eating North or South of park to any of the msny restaurants near by)[/I]. I'm partial to Monteagles waffelhouse .

If you're torn, last year me & my 13yr old stayed at hotel but this year we wanna camp with the group cuz it's fun & less stressful. We didn't know what it'd be like & regretted not camping.
Bein' kinda OCD about my Jeep ,it sucked wakin-up every hour all night to make sure it wasn't messed with at hotel , lol .

I also think the opening of rifle season will dampen the attendance of the other events atbAOP, fwiw. Seen it at many TN parks each year .

All joking aside... @Big Dave has watched over my
junk many a time..... Maybe if I get another rig, him
and his family will do the same many more times.
Oh for sure. Dave is a good guy no questions asked!

Iíll probably drive up that Saturday morning, as long as work allows. But I would trust anybody here (except big Dave. Iíve heard heís a little sketchy ;) ) to watch over my rig if you chose to get a hotel.

@Truckin222
The older I've got the more hotels I stay in.
I always leave trailer and Jeep by our group
that is camping. That's another great thing
about the GATR family.

AOP is a great park for running into town to
eat or get more supplies even if you camp.

Its usually bring whatever you want to eat.
But sometimes people do have extra & share. Restaurants are less than 5 minutes from the park.
