Steps

I know it's the opposite of what everyone else is doing but found a good deal on some steps so the kids could get in on their own. Luckily the guy selling them worked over at Lanier collision in buford so he welded them on. All in all I got what I needed and found a good body shop in the process. He mentioned anti roc (sp?) sway bars anyone have experience with the or would quick disconnects be the way to go.

Depends on what you want... I have an Antirock and so do some others. You have settings to make it soft or firm (more flex or less). Mine is set on the softer side but I also don't drive my Jeep like a race car. If you go quick disco's you get all the stability of the factory sway bar system and all the flex the suspension can offer (when disco'd). The Antirock has some magic dust or something that allows it to flex but keep a constant down force on both tires but thats getting complicated for this answer. 1 thing I like about the Antirock is when its time to go off road there is no having to park level and pulling out pins and then pushing the sway bar up out of the way.

If you have the money Anitrock. If not then discos. Antirock means more traction & stability offroad, while allowing the suspension to articulate more than the stock sway bar. Disconnects get you the articulation, minus the stability & traction. Depending on your off highway style, disconnects are good for 90% of the jeepers out there.

Thanks for the info. Judging by price it seems the disconnects would be much friendlier on the wallet. Unfortunately I'm shooting myself in the foot putting the steps on. I think my best solution would be to get a a newer jeep that way I can work on the tj for playing and the other for family time.

In a perfect world yes that would be great. I still drive mine everyday and have done a few things to it.

AntiRock sway bars for sure! Do it right the first time, it will save you money in the log run!
