Hey guys, i am new to off roading and i would love to go out today and just do some driving on some dirt trails. Is there anywhere close to Atlanta for this? I live in Roswell.

Nearby to Dahlonega you can access alot of FS roads heading north from HWY 52, winding stair gap, nimblewell gap, coopers gap, FS roads abound. Look up the forest service maps for the national forests.
Also look up "Tray Mountain" on google.
Here is a forum post - an area you can start from here.

Charlies creek, wildcat road, the whole Tallulah river area is nice too. A bit more adventures there, make sure you have a winch and a spare tire.
