7 seater vehicles
« on: March 18, 2013, 08:21:32 PM »
Due to our new addition, we need a vehicle with a third row. I wanted to see what input everyone had for our next vehicle for the wifey. No minivans and we'd like decent gas mileage. Side note: xterra is for sale, but ill start a new thread later.

Some of the vehicles we like; honda pilot, Toyota 4runner (newer models have 3rd row option), Toyota highlander, chevy traverse, ford explorer, ford flex.

Avoid the traverse.

Flex is amazing.  My 86 year old mom got one recently.  It is smooth and has tons of room and mpg's.

Had a Honda Pilot for years. My daughter still drives it. Great vehicle.

Get the minivan!  Seriously... We just sold our SUV and got a Quest. They look pretty bad but are the most family friendly thing you'll find. Sliding doors from the key fob!

Ok, ok, thread hijack is over... :-)

Delete his post! Haha

No, if the kids were younger we would get a minivan, but they are old enough to climb.

I actually pushed for a diesel excursion, but got shut down

Minivans have an enormous amount of space, but if that is out of the question, the new Ford Explorer seems like a good option. I went to the car show on Sunday and it seemed really nice inside. Very nice fit and finish and plenty of room.

We got a 7 passenger Santa Fe at our dealer last week. Might be worth checking out if you can find one in stock right now. The one we got came in already sold.

I've been leaning towards the Pilot, but she showed me the flex today. Not really a fan of the way it looks, but I'm okay with it if she likes it.
